Cider Review: Blue Mountain Eden Ridge Hard Cider

I came across this cider at my local Fredy's, Since I really liked the other Blue Mountain Cider I've found (read about it here), I decided to try it out.

It's not a dry cider or overly sweet one. It's a semi sweet and the brewers hit if off right. It has a nice blend of apples to give it good apple flavor. The sweetness is nicely balanced, hence the name 'semi-sweet'.

I like this one, it's on my list to look for.

Cider review: Blue Mountain Cherry Hard Apple Cider

I came across this Cider at my local Freddies the other night so I had to test it. It's good! It has a nice cherry flavor, it does not taste like cherry flavored medicine. It is also not as tart as a black cherry cider from Red Branch Cyder Company.

I like this one.

Cider review:Wyder's Raspberry Cider

I've wanted to try this cider for a while and finally found it on sale. I'm glad I did, it's good! The label says dry, but it's still has a good level of residual sugar in it. The raspberry flavor is nice, not overpowering or barely a wisp of flavor. This is a keeper! Too bad it disappears so fast...

Cider review: Angry Orchards

The last cider of the Variety pack is the Elderflower. This is a really really good cider! The flavors are good, the dryness is where I like it (not very dry). It has a nice floral scent and goes down easily.

Cider review: Angry Orchards Apple Ginger Cider

Next in the Variety Pack I tried is the Apple Ginger. This is a good one, the ginger flavor blends nicely with the apple and overall the cider is not really dry and tart. I really enjoy this one.

Cider review: Julian Hard Cider Cherry Bomb

I found this today at the local Freddie's, so I had to get it to try it. It's good! The cherry flavor is less tart than Rabbit's Foot Black Cherry. It is nice and smooth and really enjoyable.

Cider review: Angry Orchard Traditional Dry

I bought a Variety Pack of the Angry Orchard Ciders. I've already reviewed their Crisp Apple (it's good!).

The Traditional Dry does have a very nice flavor, but I am not fond of this one, it's too dry (duh) and too tart for my tastes. But that is how they created it, so it fits the bill.

Cider review: Woodchuck Hard Cider - Amber

I sampled some Woodchuck cider last summer at a small Brewfest Festival in Vancouver so when I came across 'Woodchuck Hard Cider - Amber' I figured I would try a six pack and see how it tastes.

It is a cider,  it has a slight taste of apples. But the flavor is just not there. Not really tart, not really sweet, not much there. I'm rather disappointed.
Maybe one of their other brews will be better.

Cider review: 2 Towns Ciderhouse - The Incider

I can across 2 Towns Ciderhouse - the Incider over at By The Bottle (a great bottle shop where you buy single bottles of beers/ciders/meads from around the country/world).

The Incider is hand crafted in Oregon (Yah for local brews!). It is a semi-sweet, hard apple cyder.
It is not as sweet as the Crisp Apple from Angry Orchard, but the flavor is very good, they use a lot of local apples and it shows).

This is a good one to drink when I find it.

Cider review: Angry Orchard Crisp Apple

My first commercial Apply Cider review is of Angry Orchard's Crisp Apple. I enjoyed this one, it's semi-sweet, not overly bitter. A nice crisp flavor, good apple flavors. I will be buying more of this.

Cider review: Intro

Well, since I cannot drink beer these days without getting a migraine headache (I am now sensitive to gluten - thanks for the allergy Mom), I've been sampling hard ciders that I find. I prefer sweeter ciders so that will affect my reviews. And I am going to be adding additional sweeteners to my home-brews since they have been dryer than I prefer.

On to the reviews!
