I attempted my first batch at biltong which is a South African dehydrated meat. There are recipes all over the Internet, I choose a simple one. And messed it up. I dunked the meat in apple cyder vinegar, then rubbed in coarse salt and coriander and let it sit in the fridge for 24 hrs. Then I put it into my dehydrator w/o rinsing it off. So the biltong pieces are way too salty to eat by themselves. Luckily I did not spend too much $ on the meat...
It was a learning experience... Next time, I'll do better!
