I checked the Toyon (East Side SJ) hive last Friday. Bees were in the hive, clustered on the right hand side. But quite busy. I did not bother them, just looked inside. I tried to setup a hive top feeder, but I ended up splitting the seam of the plastic bag and spilling the sugar water all over the ground. I am going to setup a entrance feeder tomorrow and (weather permitting) put some partially drawn frames in the hive for them to work on.
